Most places are very cold in winter, including China. I always wear warm clothes in winter because it’s so cold and few people ride motorcycles then. Although a motorcycle is very convenient for us to go anywhere, it’s not a good choice to ride in cold weather. Batteries always are dead in winter and every springtime motorcycles are brought in to the shop because they won’t start.
Maybe you wonder why MF motorcycle batteries‘ lifespan is so short. In fact, the main reason why they won’t last their expected lifetime is because they are left in a motorcycle that has not been used for a long time. As we know, people will store their motorcycles in winter because it’s too cold, and they don’t know it’s bad to leave the batteries in a motorcycle. In general, batteries are automatically recharged when the motorcycle is in operation. But when a motorcycle is not being used, its batteries do lose their needed recharging power. Plus, if motorcycle batteries are left unused in the cold condition, it just accelerates their demise. So winter is not a good reason for motorcycle batteries. It doesn’t matter. If we remove the batteries from the motorcycle for the winter and store them, that’s the proper battery maintenance.
